About the Visa Scholarship Programme

We have created the Visa Scholarship Programme, in partnership with the Windsor Fellowship, as part of our ongoing commitment to this belief.

​The programme is designed to support students from under-represented and socially disadvantaged backgrounds to achieve their full potential. This opportunity is open to eligible students who are applying or intending to enrol as a full-time undergraduate in any accredited university in the UK. You’ll receive a scholarship of up to £9250 per year to pay your tuition fees and an ongoing programme of support throughout your academic study.

​You will also have the opportunity to connect with experienced Visa employees through our scholar coaching/ mentoring programmes.

The Programmme

  • ​Our partners, the Windsor Fellowship, will provide you with pastoral and interview support from the point of application.
  • Financial support – You’ll receive support for your course fees, up to a value of £9250 per year, up to three years, in tuition scholarships.
  • Mentorship – take advantage of on-going coaching, mentorship and guidance from experienced Visa employees.
  • Skills building – grow key technical, professional and leadership skills through training and development opportunities.
  • Career development – gain exposure to career growth activities to help prepare for post-graduation careers.
  • Work Experience – during the summer there will be options to get work experience and engage with Visa, including the opportunity to apply for a paid internship where you can learn new skills, collaborate and find a community of like-minded students.

​Who can apply?

All the following must apply to be eligible for consideration:​

  • From a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background​
  • You will be starting the first year of your first undergraduate degree in October 2024
  • Undergraduate degree in STEM field (e.g. Computer Science, Information Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering or Maths) or Business (e.g. HR, Finance, Marketing, Sales) excluding Pharmacy, Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Science.
  • Demonstrate how your chosen degree can relate to Visa business functions.
  • Applied and hold an offer from UCAS to enrol in a full-time three-year undergraduate degree at any accredited university in the UK for 2024/2025 (four-year degrees are not eligible)
  • Eligible to work and study in the UK and qualify for UK/home fee status. (international fees are not eligible)
  • Demonstrate a financial need (combined household income of less than £50,000 per year).
  • Be in receipt of, or have previously received or have been eligible for, free school meals, pupil premium, education maintenance allowance and/or 16 to 19 bursaries.
  • An interest in the work of Visa

​How to Apply

We recommend all candidates carefully read the Visa Scholarship FAQ 2024-25 document before you start the application form.

Incomplete and ineligible applications will not be processed.

Stage 1 – Complete the online application form and financial information form

Stage 2 – Complete an online assessment test which will be provided once the application form is submitted.

Stage 3 – Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a virtual Assessment Centre with the Windsor Fellowship.

Stage 4 – Successful applicants will go to the final stage virtual interview with the Visa team.

Stage 5 – Visa to select and inform successful Scholars.

Applications will close on Monday 19th August 2024 at midday 12pm (UK time).
