We would like to offer organisations and/or individuals the opportunity to sponsor, fund or provide services in kind to support the work of the Windsor Fellowship.

Participation offers a unique opportunity to associate your organisation with the Windsor Fellowship and our important remit to improve the quality, experience and outcome of young Black and minority ethnic students. Participation also offers excellent value for promoting your expertise and demonstrable interest in diversity.  Your support is vital to ensure that Windsor Fellowship’s Programmes have the resources to develop and build on our success for the benefit not only of individual participants on our Programmes, but their communities and UK society as a whole.

 

There are several ways in which you can participate:

 

 

The Leadership Programme for Undergraduates (LPU) was set-up to nurture talent from Black Minority Ethnic (BME) communities to increase educational attainment, active citizenship and employability. To date over 1,300 students have graduated from the LPU. Success can be measured in many ways, however, in 2008 66% of Fellows gained a 2(I) or 1^st class degree and undertook over 10,000 hours Community Activity.

 

The LPU runs for 2 years during participant’s university courses. It consists of demanding development Seminars, an Internship and Community Activity. The Seminars develop the key skills and competences sought by graduate employers. The skills learnt are applied during 6-8 week work placements/internships with your organisation and through Community Activity. This enables the Fellow to make a valuable contribution to your workplace and encourage them to apply for your organisation’s Graduate Programme.

 

As a unique charity we work with excellent organisations to realise the potential of students so that they can enter the labour market and develop into tomorrow’s leaders. Our work builds bridges between employers and communities working towards making the nation’s boardrooms representative of our society.

 

We boast an excellent partnership with a variety of current and past sponsors who have benefited immensely from working with us on the LPU in achieving diverse management teams that meet their organisational goals. We are currently looking to expand our sponsorship for 2009 and future LPU programmes, and very much hope that you will join us in making a difference to your organisation and our society.
